Glass Magazine’s Top 50 Glaziers list is out. Rather than just list the top 50 by sales volume the report gathers useful information from interview with each glazing company and includes it as well. A few key findings include:

- Most companies have seen an increase in sales over the year before.
- That increase is offset by lower profit margins – especially on jobs that were bid in 2011 and early 2012.
- That increase in sales includes absorbing business from glaziers that shut their doors due the recession.
- Finally, the top glazing firms are beating out low bid competitors by sharing their expertise and knowledge pre-bid, during the design phase. Educating architects and GCs about what a total bid package should include is paying off.
