Hoist System Offers Perfect Control for Lift and Place Projects Involving Glass, Stone, and Other Fragile Material
Beta Max Inc., a leading provider of affordable material lifting solutions, offers its Leo Series of electric utility portable hoists for the rental market. The Leo Series, which includes the Leo and the Leo XXL, boasts a compact, lightweight and efficient housing unit and is versatile enough to be mounted in a variety of ways to accommodate space limitations. Space savings combined with limitless combinations of hoists, mountings, and baskets make the Leo Series ideal for rental outfits looking to provide customers in the construction and glazing industries with an effective solution to meet a variety of specialized needs.
Featuring integrated Variable Frequency Drive Controllers, the Leo Series offers contractors a number of speed settings that make lifting delicate materials easier and safer. Soft start and stop capabilities make the hoists perfect for maneuvering fragile products, and operators are able to lift materials as delicate as glass panels in finite increments and set them down without causing damage to the product. Additionally, the Leo hoists include a sturdy electrical controller with an overload sensing device to protect the motor from damage caused by overwork or poor power supply.
The Leo XXL can accommodate a maximum payload of 2000 pounds and can travel up to 225 feet. To ensure optimum safety, all Leo hoists are equipped with a push button pendant and upper limit switch assembly, enabling secure and easy up and down movement that instantly stops when the upper limit switch is activated. Beta Max Hoists contain a non-rotating cable to help keep loads from spinning while lifting and lowering. The hoists also feature fail-safe conical brakes to hold the load securely when the hoist is not actively transporting material.
The Leo Series is available for use in conjunction with Beta Max’s I-beam mounting option, the most flexible and versatile mounting system available. The hoists can be easily attached to existing I-beams using adjustable trolleys, and can be equipped with motorized trolleys to provide horizontal as well as vertical movement.
All Beta Max Hoists Systems meet or exceed ANSI and OSHA specifications.
